  MALAYSIA | CITY OF NUSAJAYA

Transmission Line Quadruple Circuit Steel Pole

In July 2011, MDSB was awarded a contract by TNB to implement the Quadruple Circuit Monopole in the city of Nusajaya. The project involved the complete design, manufacture, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the 275/132kV (1000/282MVA) transmission lines from the proposed North Nusajaya Substation to the proposed Sg. Pendas Substation, covering a total route length of approximately 13 km.

The project included the installation of 88 monopoles and 2 lattice towers from the 3423 series, configured with three phases per circuit, two circuits of 3 x 400mm² ACSR ZEBRA conductors, and two circuits of 2 x 300mm² ACSR BATANG conductors.

The project was successfully completed and commissioned in February 2015.

  MALAYSIA | TG PAUH-CHUPING

132kV Transmission Line

a) Installation of approximately 35 km of 132kV double-circuit overhead line on 23-series lattice towers, extending from Chuping Substation to the Tee-Off Point. The scope of work included clearing any existing foundations along the current rentis, if present.

b) Installation of approximately 4.5 km of 132kV double-circuit overhead line on 23-series lattice towers from the Tee-Off Point to Tanjung Pauh Substation. The work involved dismantling the existing 132kV line, erecting the supplied towers, conducting foundation work, and performing stringing operations.

The project was successfully completed and commissioned in September 2015.

  MALAYSIA | SHAH ALAM

275/132kV Transmission Line Double Circuit Loop in/out

a) Stage 1 - Construction of the 275/132kV transmission line from PMU Shah Alam Seksyen 18 (Point B) to Point D (near PMU Shah Alam South). This stage involved a double circuit outage of the existing 132kV SHAS-SHAE line for dismantling the 132kV Shah Alam South - Shah Alam East line (from Point D to Point E) and constructing the 275kV transmission line.

b) Stage 2 - Commissioning of the double circuit 132kV transmission line from Shah Alam Seksyen 18 to Shah Alam East. This stage required a double circuit outage of the existing 132kV SHAE-PROT line for dismantling the 132kV SHAE-PROT line (from Point E to Point F) and constructing the 275/132kV transmission line (from Point E to Point F). It also involved commissioning the double circuit 132kV line from Shah Alam East to Proton and the double circuit 275kV line from Shah Alam Seksyen 18 to EBOR.

The project was successfully completed and commissioned in September 2015.

MALAYSIA |  BENTONG TO POINT Y

500kV Double Circuit Transmission Line

The contract for the project was awarded to MDSB in October 2015. The objective was to construct a 500kV (2800 MVA per circuit) double circuit overhead transmission line from Point Y (3° 37' 11.68765" N, 101° 47' 56.34028" E) to the Bentong South Substation. The work scope included the full design, manufacturing, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the double circuit 500kV overhead line extending from Point Y to the Bentong South Substation. The total length of the route was approximately 27 kilometers.

The project was successfully completed and commissioned in January 2023.
