132kV Nusajaya Technology Park Switching Station (GIS)

In March 2014, MDSB was awarded a contract by TNB for the supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the new PMU 132kV Nusajaya Technology Park Switching Station (GIS) in Johor, complete with relevant protection, cabling, and all associated civil works as outlined in this project.

The general scope of work includes:
  • 132kV Double Busbar GIS Configuration (3150A, 31.5kA @3s)
  • 2 x 132kV UGC FCTR Bay (NJTP – FCTR)
  • 2 x 132kV UGC GDS Plot 1 Bay (NJTP – GDSD)
  • 2 x 132kV UGC GDS Plot 2 Bay (NJTP – GWDC)
  • 1 x 132kV Bus Coupler GIS Bay
  • 1 x 132kV Bus Section GIS Bay
  • 3 x 132kV Busbar IVTs GIS Bays
  • Compact Substation Unit (CSU) 11/0.433kV 500kVA Genset
  • Earthing system
  • Reconfiguration of 1 circuit of 132kV UGC FCTR-GDSD
  • 1 circuit of 132kV UGC FCTR – GWDC
  • 1 circuit of 132kV UGC GDSD - GWDC into PMU NJTP
  • Installation of new Control Panel, Relay Panel, DCDB Panel, Busbar Protection Panel, and all related secondary work
  • Construction of a new substation building and associated civil works such as access roads, gantries, and other miscellaneous and common work items

The project is estimated to be completed within two years and commissioned in August 2025.

33kV PPU Bukit Raja (Prince Court, Petronas Hospital)

In March 2014, MDSB was awarded a contract by TNB for the supply, installation, and commissioning of 33kV GIS and 11kV switchgear, along with ancillary equipment for the Distribution Main Intake Substation in the Northern and Central Regions, Mainhead "A," at the following locations: PPU Royal Cendana, PPU Taman Segar 2, PPU USJ 4, and SSU Hospital Petronas.

The project is estimated to be completed within two years and commissioned by 2002.

275kV PMU Olak Lampit Extension

MDSB was awarded a contract by TNB for the supply, erection, and commissioning of 275kV switchgears, ancillary equipment, and associated civil works for the extension of the 275kV Olak Lampit Substation.

Project Scope:
The Olak Lampit Extension 275kV Substation project encompassed comprehensive civil and electrical works aimed at enhancing the substation's capacity and functionality.

Key Project Highlights:
  • Supply, erection, and commissioning of 275kV switchgears
  • Installation of ancillary equipment
  • Execution of all associated civil works

This project was successfully completed within two years and commissioned in 2004.

Keningau Main Intake Substation

MDSB was awarded a tender for upgrading works at the Keningau Main Intake Substation in collaboration with Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd.

The project was successfully completed within one and a half years. It was commissioned in 2000.

  MALAYSIA | SELANGOR-PERAK-NEGERI SEMBILAN

275kV and 132kV Class 0.2 Current and Voltage Transformers

MDSB has been awarded by TNB the tender for Supply and Installation of 275kV and 132kV Class 0.2 Current and Voltage Transformers for Mainhead C and D.

The general scope of work includes the supply and installation of transformers at the following locations:
  • CBPS
  • Paka Power Station
  • Port Dickson Power Station
  • Gelugor Power Station
  • Cenderoh Power Station
  • Sg. Piah Upper Power Station
  • Sg. Piah Lower Power Station

This project was successfully completed within two years and commissioned in 1999.

MDSB has been awarded by TNB, tender for 132kV and 11kV Transformer Bays and Associated Equipment.

The general scope of work includes:

  • Busbar Protection Panel

132kV Underground Cable (Spare) Bay:
