MDSB Strengthens Commitment to Green Technology and Sustainability Through Beach Cleaning CSR Program in Batu Feringhi, Penang.

On January 12, 2025, Multi Discovery Sdn Bhd (MDSB), Ingress Energy Division reaffirmed its commitment to environmental sustainability and corporate responsibility by organizing a Public Beach Cleaning Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program near Shangri-La Golden Sands, Batu Ferringhi Penang. This initiative aligns with MDSB’s broader mission to support Green Technology, environmental conservation, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles, reinforcing its role as a responsible corporate citizen.

As part of its 3-day, Employee Retreat Program, MDSB dedicated the final day to this meaningful activity, underscoring its commitment to reducing pollution and fostering sustainable practices. Employees gathered early in the morning at a public beach near the hotel and were divided into six teams, each responsible for cleaning different sections of the coastline. Equipped with biodegradable trash bags and protective gloves, participants worked diligently to remove plastic waste, non-biodegradable materials, and other pollutants that threaten marine ecosystems. The collected waste was meticulously sorted for proper disposal and recycling. Through collective effort, a substantial volume of waste - comprising plastic, non-biodegradable materials and other pollutants was cleared from the coastline, making a meaningful impact on the environment.

Environmental pollution remains a critical global challenge, and MDSB recognizes the urgent need for corporate action in addressing sustainability issues. This initiative not only contributed to a cleaner environment but also served as a catalyst for positive change, inspiring local communities to adopt responsible waste management practices.
